Second, I’ll agree with you on this one with the addition that I think it’s odd that people aren’t disturbed by the character of Lewis. He had every legal reason to stand up and say no. HE let BofA down as much as Bernake and Paulson let America down on this one.
Community Banks and Credit Unions are seeing growth in this fiasco. In addition to making better decisions (esp CUs) with their money, the local FIs care about their customers.
The # of people utterly disgusted with Chase, WAMU, and BoA continues to rise. Outrageous fees, lowering credit limits for no reason (other than the bank’s gain – but it hurts the credit of consumer), not listeneing to the customer…..I’ve not hear one positive feedback on Twitter (where I monitir such things for work).
The community FIs though, are getting lots of positive feedback from customers. Obviously it’s not all good, not all of them made wise decisions. But for the most part, they did much better than their counterparts who were so highly esteemed just a couple years ago.
